". . . There's a story that our insider has told us, which is firsthand knowledge of somebody that was bleeding out - a young mother, a very young mother, a small child, and she was in a car wreck. And this insider was privy to the fact that this mother did not get blood as a Jehovah's Witness because that was what she did not want. It was her belief. We got to honor that. That's bodily autonomy. And she passed. Her husband was not a Jehovah's Witness and wanted her to have blood. They had to uphold (her wishes). This is how strong it is. Even though the husband's like 'save her, save her' they had to uphold her religious belief not to give blood because she was a Jehovah's Witness. Well, you can't discriminate against Laura Bartlett. I'm a Christian . . ."
