"Confronting Hospital CEOs: A Daughter’s Outcry"

". . . I actually had a meeting with the CEOs of the hospitals recently -- who does that, right? This was before I sent the flyer out, of course. And it was to talk about my mom, how she was mishandled in the hospital, how it led to her demise, how the nurses had no compassion for my mom. I asked all of the CEOs and all of their medical directors, and whoever else was in the room (the Department of Public Health). I said, 'How did we get here - where my mother's laying in a back room somewhere dying? And getting her teeth knocked out?' And, you know, the nurses could care less. I said, 'That's not a nurse.' I said, 'My mom never treated people like that.' I said, 'Being a nurse myself, I could never fathom treating patients like that - that is, the way my mom was treated.' And they all were silent. Even the CEO from my hospital was there. After the meeting, I don't know how if it went that well or not, but the fact that I even had a meeting with the CEOs is beyond crazy . . ."
